FOXBORO FBM14 is a piggyback discrete output expansion module for FOXBORO I/A Series DCS system, used together with FBM09 main module to expand digital output channels. It receives switching commands from DCS and drives field solenoid valves, relay coils and indicator lights. This module uses galvanic channel isolation and conformal coated PCB, safeguarding electronic components against vibration, dust, moisture and electromagnetic interference in harsh industrial environments. It communicates through the paired main module over redundant HDLC fieldbus. Built-in continuous self-diagnosis detects channel faults and communication errors, triggers alarm for fast troubleshooting to reduce plant downtime.
