FOXBORO CP98 is a rack-mounted top-tier flagship high-performance control processor for FOXBORO I/A Series DCS system, a high-performance DCS CPU module built for process automation. This processor module adopts conformal coated PCB assembly and reinforced shielding frame, protecting internal high-speed PowerPC RISC microprocessor, further expanded ultra-large-capacity memory and multi-bus circuits from vibration, dust and electromagnetic interference inside industrial control cabinets. It can be plugged directly onto the VME64 DCS rack backplane and matched with supporting terminal base for fast installation and convenient maintenance. It supports 1:1 fault-tolerant hot standby redundant pairing to achieve fast seamless failover for heavy-load and critical production control loops.

This FOXBORO CP98 DCS CPU module collects analog and discrete field signals from connected FBM I/O modules. It executes PID regulatory control, safety interlock and sequential control algorithms, outputs high-speed control commands to valve positioners and switching actuators to regulate temperature, pressure, flow and liquid level of process fluid. It supports FTE fault tolerant Ethernet communication and dual network interfaces to exchange real-time control data with operator workstations and other system modules, supporting graphic display, large-capacity historical data recording and alarm management. Built-in continuous self-diagnosis function monitors memory, bus link and hardware health status.
