FOXBORO CP30A is a rack-mounted control processor module for FOXBORO I/A Series DCS system, a high-performance DCS CPU module built for process automation. This processor module adopts conformal coated PCB assembly and reinforced shielding frame, protecting internal 32-bit RISC microprocessor, memory and bus circuits from vibration, dust and electromagnetic interference inside industrial control cabinets. It can be plugged directly onto the DCS rack backplane and matched with supporting backplane for fast installation and convenient maintenance. It acts as core calculation unit to execute PID closed-loop control, safety interlock and sequence control programs.

This FOXBORO CP30A DCS CPU module receives analog and discrete field measurement and status signals from FBM I/O modules.
