FOXBORO CM2F2 is a rack-mounted fiber optic fieldbus communication module for FOXBORO I/A Series DCS platform, a high-performance DCS communication card built for process automation. This module adopts conformal coated PCB assembly and reinforced metal shielding frame, protecting internal precision optical and electronic circuits from vibration, dust and electromagnetic interference inside industrial control cabinets. It can be installed on the DCS backplane and matched with dedicated terminal base for fast wiring and convenient maintenance. It is used to extend I/A Highway fieldbus via multi-mode fiber, allowing FBM I/O modules to be installed remotely close to field equipment.

This FOXBORO CM2F2 DCS communication card transmits bidirectional real-time control data between DCS controller and remote FBM I/O modules. It sends down control commands to field modules and uploads collected analog and digital status signals back to the host controller for real-time monitoring, historical recording and closed-loop control calculation.
