FOXBORO 871EC-REO is a toroidal electrodeless conductivity sensor from the 871EC series, a high-performance liquid analysis probe designed for process automation. This conductivity sensor adopts non-contact toroidal coil measurement principle, eliminating electrode fouling issues which commonly occur in contacting conductivity sensors. The sensing coils are fully encapsulated inside corrosion-resistant engineering plastic housing, protecting internal components from abrasive and corrosive liquid media in pipelines and tanks. The built-in thermistor provides real-time liquid temperature detection for automatic temperature compensation, ensuring accurate conductivity readings under variable temperature conditions.

This FOXBORO 871EC-REO liquid analysis probe works together with FOXBORO 870ITEC, 873EC and 875EC series transmitters. It detects the conductivity of process fluid and sends raw sensing signals to the matched transmitter for calculation and conversion into standard 4~20mA or HART digital signals for DCS and PLC systems. The electrodeless design avoids polarization and coating interference, making it suitable for measuring high-conductivity liquids containing suspended solids. It supports inline pipeline installation or immersion mounting in tanks. The sensor cable can be extended within the specified maximum length, and sealed junction boxes are available for field wiring connection.
