The BENTLY NEVADA 3500/92 communication gateway module is a full-height rack communication card for Bently Nevada 3500 TSI machinery protection system. It collects all real-time measurement data, alarm status and module health information from every monitor card on the rack internal backplane, acting as the data bridge between the 3500 rack and external plant control systems. This module supports multiple communication interfaces including 10BASE-T Ethernet RJ45 port and serial ports RS232, RS422 and RS485. It runs Modbus/TCP over Ethernet and Modbus RTU over serial lines, and also supports Bently proprietary protocol for rack configuration software and data acquisition software connection. Users can customize Modbus register mapping through the configurable register utility, flexibly select the required vibration, temperature, shaft position and overspeed data to upload to DCS, PLC and SCADA historian systems. Ethernet and serial channels can transmit data at the same time, which is very suitable for factory renovation projects to connect legacy control equipment and new monitoring platforms. Front panel LED indicators display module OK status, Ethernet link and serial communication activity for convenient on-site inspection. The module supports hot swapping during normal rack operation, replacement will not affect the machinery protection safety logic. Built-in continuous self-diagnosis function automatically detects communication link failure and internal hardware faults, and uploads fault information to the rack system. Different suffix versions are available to match different memory sizes and certification requirements for ordinary industrial areas. It is widely applied in petrochemical, power generation and metallurgy industries, matched with steam turbines, gas turbines and centrifugal compressors, realizing stable data transmission of rotating machinery online monitoring and alarm information.
