The BENTLY NEVADA 3500/23E transient data interface (TDI) module is the core communication card for the Bently Nevada 3500 ENCORE machinery protection rack system. It is installed in slot 1 of the rack beside the power supply, serving as the data gateway between the rack monitor modules and upper software such as System 1. This module is equipped with dual 10/100Base-TX Ethernet ports, supporting Modbus TCP and Bently proprietary protocol. It collects steady-state measurement values, channel alarm status, module health signals and high-speed transient waveform data from all monitor cards on the backplane bus. It can capture dynamic waveform data during machine startup, coast-down and fault events for rotor dynamic fault diagnosis. Engineers can complete rack hardware configuration, parameter download and real-time data reading through this TDI module. The TDI is not part of the safety trip path; module failure will not affect the vibration, temperature and relay protection logic of the rack. Front panel LED indicators display module OK status, network link and fault state for daily on-site inspection. It supports hot swapping during normal rack operation, maintenance staff can replace the module without shutting down the whole TSI system. It complies with API 670 turbomachinery monitoring standard, widely applied in petrochemical, power generation and metallurgy industries, matched with steam turbines, gas turbines and centrifugal compressors, used for 3500 ENCORE rack system configuration, real-time monitoring and transient vibration data analysis.
