The BENTLY NEVADA 3500/33 16-channel relay module is a full-height rack module designed for the Bently Nevada 3500 TSI machinery protection system. It can be installed in any slot after the rack interface or TDI module, collecting alarm, danger and module Not-OK status signals from all monitor modules through the internal backplane bus. Every relay channel adopts SPDT epoxy-sealed dry contact output, and each channel can be independently programmed with AND or OR voting logic via 3500 rack configuration software. Users can map each relay point to different monitoring parameters such as vibration, shaft thrust position, bearing temperature and overspeed signals. The module supports latching or non-latching alarm mode for each channel to match local alarm annunciator and ESD emergency shutdown circuit requirements. It has built-in arc suppressor to protect relay contacts from surge damage. Front panel LED indicators display module OK state, backplane communication TX/RX activity and each channel alarm status for convenient on-site inspection. The module supports hot swapping during normal rack operation, and replacement will not affect the safety protection logic of the whole system. Built-in continuous self-diagnosis automatically detects relay coil faults, communication failure and internal hardware abnormalities, and uploads fault events to the rack system. It should be noted that this model cannot be used for TMR triple redundant protection applications, TMR projects need to select 3500/34 relay module. Different suffix codes provide ordinary version and fail-safe relay version, with optional agency certifications for hazardous area. It is widely used in petrochemical, power generation and metallurgy industries, matched with steam turbines, gas turbines and centrifugal compressors, converting TSI monitoring alarm signals into hard contact output for large rotating machinery safety protection and alarm indication.
