The BENTLY NEVADA 3500/22 transient data interface module (TDI) is a full-height rack management and communication card for the Bently Nevada 3500 TSI machinery protection system, installed in slot 1 next to the rack power supply. It integrates the rack interface function, collecting all steady-state measurement values, alarm events and module health data from every monitor module on the internal backplane bus. Meanwhile, it supports high-resolution transient waveform acquisition, capturing vibration, shaft orbit and speed transient signals for rotating machinery vibration spectrum analysis and fault diagnosis. It is equipped with front USB-B port for local system configuration, firmware download and maintenance debugging. The rear side provides Ethernet communication interface, including copper 10/100Base-TX and optional 100Base-FX fiber Ethernet, supporting bidirectional data exchange with System 1 diagnostic software, 3500 configuration software and external control systems. This module is outside the safety protection path, so the machinery protection trip logic keeps working normally even if network communication fails. Front panel LED indicators display module OK status, communication activity and valid rack configuration status, and built-in rack OK relay outputs remote fault alarm signal. It supports hot swapping during normal rack operation, maintenance personnel can replace the module without shutting down the whole rack. Built-in continuous self-diagnosis function detects backplane communication faults and internal hardware failures automatically. Different suffix options define copper or fiber Ethernet versions to adapt to different industrial cabinet networking environments. It is widely applied in petrochemical, power generation and metallurgy industries, matched with steam turbines, gas turbines and centrifugal compressors, acting as the core communication and data acquisition unit of the 3500 online machinery protection monitoring system.
