The B&R X20DC1396 is X20 series single-width high-speed counter module for 24V ABR incremental encoder connection, supporting maximum input frequency up to 100kHz and 4x signal evaluation for precise position and speed calculation. It integrates built-in 24VDC encoder power supply with 600mA output capacity, equipped with short-circuit and thermal overload protection. The terminating resistor can be activated on demand for network matching. Signal circuit is galvanically isolated from X2X Link bus to suppress electromagnetic interference in noisy industrial environments. It supports software diagnosis for encoder power fault and channel anomaly detection. LED indicators display module running state, encoder signal status for fast on-site inspection and troubleshooting. This split modular unit needs to work with X20BM11 bus carrier and X20TB12 terminal block to build a complete I/O assembly. It carries ATEX Zone2, cULus HazLoc, DNV marine certifications, suitable for hazardous locations and marine automation systems.
