The B&R X20CS1020 is X20 series single-width serial communication module equipped with one RS232 interface, supporting maximum baud rate up to 115.2 kbit/s and communication distance up to 900 meters. It realizes serial data exchange between B&R X20 automation station and legacy serial devices including barcode readers, weighing instruments, thermal meters and serial sensors. The module adopts 16C550 compatible UART controller with integrated 1kB FIFO buffer and RTS/CTS hardware handshake function to stabilize serial data transmission and avoid packet loss under continuous data transmission. The RS232 signal side is electrically isolated from X2X Link bus circuit to reduce interference from industrial power circuits. LED indicators display module running status and serial data transfer activity for convenient on-site inspection and fault diagnosis. This split modular unit must be matched with X20BM11 bus carrier and X20TB12 12-pin terminal block to form a complete signal assembly. It carries ATEX Zone2, cULus HazLoc and multiple marine certifications such as DNV, ABS, KR and CCS, suitable for hazardous locations and marine automation projects. IP20 protection grade for DIN rail cabinet mounting, compact 12.5mm width, supports horizontal and vertical installation with temperature derating rules for vertical mounting. Working temperature range is -25℃ to 60℃ for horizontal installation and -25℃ to 50℃ for vertical installation, robust mechanical structure with excellent shock and vibration resistance for long-time stable operation.
