The B&R 4PP045.IF24-1 is an optional interface expansion board specially designed for B&R PP45 Power Panel series, acting as a multi-protocol fieldbus adapter to expand communication ports of PP45 panel controller. This expansion board integrates 1x RS232, 1x isolated RS422/RS485 and 1x isolated PROFIBUS DP slave interface, supporting maximum baud rate up to 115.2kbit/s for serial channels and 12Mbit/s for PROFIBUS DP network. The RS232 and RS422/RS485 share one 9-pin DSUB connector while PROFIBUS DP uses independent 9-pin DSUB socket. All fieldbus circuits adopt galvanic isolation design to suppress interference generated by servo drives and high-power equipment in industrial cabinets, ensuring stable data transmission between Power Panel, PLC and distributed field devices. The board is inserted into the dedicated IF slot inside PP45 power panel, realizing fast hardware expansion without extra cabinet space. Built-in diagnostic circuits continuously monitor port working state and bus communication quality, feeding fault information back to the PP45 host controller for maintenance scheduling. The compact dimension is 70mm ×70mm ×30mm with weight only 0.20kg. It supports fast installation and spare replacement, which effectively shortens machine downtime.
