Product Details

The XYCOM XVME-690 is a discontinued single-slot 6U VMEbus single board computer, built on Intel 855GME/6300ESB chipset, designed for high-performance legacy VME automation racks and rugged embedded industrial measurement and control systems. It supports two processor options: Intel Pentium M 1.8GHz with 2MB L2 cache or Celeron M 1.5GHz with 1MB L2 cache, delivering low power consumption and stable computing performance for long-running industrial applications. It uses 200-pin ECC DDR SODIMM socket, memory capacity optional from 256MB, 512MB, 1GB up to 2GB, supporting 266/333MHz memory speed, and ECC function provides data error protection for critical control and data acquisition tasks.

This SBC integrates abundant onboard peripheral resources. It adopts Intel integrated graphics controller, supports maximum resolution 1600×1200, VGA output available on front panel or rear P2 connector. It is equipped with dual Gigabit Ethernet ports based on Intel 82546GB controller for high-speed reliable network transmission. For storage, it carries Ultra-DMA 100 EIDE controller, two SATA150 interfaces, floppy disk interface, compatible with XVME-977 and XVME-979 storage expansion modules, also supports onboard compact flash or 1.8 inch hard disk carrier for solid state storage. It provides three configurable serial ports which can be set as RS232/422/485 via BIOS, multiple USB2.0 ports, ECP parallel port, PS/2 keyboard and mouse interface, as well as stereo audio input and output. It conforms to VME64x specification, can operate as VME bus master and slave, supports A16/A24/A32 addressing, complete 7-level VME interrupt and bus arbitration mechanism, and can exchange data and control analog modules, digital I/O modules, counter modules and communication modules on the VME backplane. It supports mainstream operating systems including Windows, Linux and real-time operating systems for industrial control.

Users can configure VME base address, interrupt mapping, memory allocation and peripheral parameters through BIOS setup and on-board jumpers to avoid resource conflicts with other VME modules. On-board power filtering and transient suppression circuits suppress electromagnetic interference from inverters, servo drives and contactors, ensuring stable operation under harsh factory conditions. The front panel is equipped with LED indicators for power status, CPU heartbeat, network link and fault alarm, helping maintenance technicians quickly locate boot failure, bus timeout and communication faults during commissioning and routine inspection. The PCB adopts industrial-grade electronic components and reliable EMC protection design, capable of resisting vibration, dust and temperature fluctuation in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, aerospace test benches, power plants and automated test stations. This legacy Pentium M VME CPU board is mainly supplied as spare replacement parts for existing XYCOM VME automation systems. Users need to confirm BIOS version, memory compatibility and backplane definition before installation. A conformal coated version is optional for high humidity, dusty and corrosive industrial sites. This model is widely used in supervisory control, high-speed data logging, complex test station host and old VME embedded computing system retrofit projects.

This pentium m vme single board computer adopts standard 6U single-height VME rack mount structure. It draws power from the VME backplane. LED indicators display power status, CPU activity and network status for convenient on-site inspection. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 65°C, storage temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C, relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing. It complies with industrial shock, vibration and EMC standards and has CE certifications. It supports memory mapping and peripheral configuration backup for fast recovery after hardware replacement.

This XYCOM XVME-690 processor module is widely applied in legacy VME control racks and industrial automation upgrade projects. It serves as high-performance low-power x86 host to execute complex control software, collect field measurement data and realize high-speed network transmission. As a reliable discontinued spare part, the XYCOM XVME-690 retains original VME bus timing and firmware compatibility, and effectively reduces the renovation cost of legacy industrial control system maintenance.
