Product Details

The XYCOM XVME-566, PN 70566-001, is a discontinued 6U VMEbus high-performance analog input module, designed for XYCOM legacy VME control racks and high-speed dynamic data acquisition systems. It supports flexible channel configuration with 32 single-ended analog inputs or 16 differential analog inputs, adopting 12-bit ADC conversion architecture to deliver reliable voltage measurement results. The input range is 0 to 10V, with 10MΩ input impedance and low input bias current, and it features programmable gain settings to adapt to different sensor signal levels. This module uses dual sample-and-hold design and reaches a maximum sampling rate of 100 kHz, which is suitable for fast-changing transient signal capture.

It is equipped with 64KB dual-port RAM for on-board data buffering, which can store up to 32000 sampling samples, effectively easing VME bus transmission pressure during continuous high-speed acquisition. A 256-byte sequence RAM is provided for users to program custom sampling sequences, and gain RAM stores independent gain parameters for each channel. Three trigger modes are supported: internal clock trigger, external hardware trigger and software trigger, which can synchronize sampling actions with other test equipment or control events. The module integrates the AMD Am9513 timing and sequencing chip to manage scan timing and conversion sequencing precisely. It follows IEEE 1014 VMEbus specification and works as a VME slave device, supporting configurable VME interrupts to notify the host CPU when buffer data is ready or acquisition events complete. Users can configure base address, interrupt vector and trigger parameters via on-board DIP switches and jumpers to avoid address and interrupt conflicts with other VME modules installed in the same chassis. The front panel is fitted with an IDC50 connector for analog signal wiring. On-board low-pass filtering and transient suppression circuits suppress electromagnetic interference from inverters, servo drives and contactors, ensuring stable sampling accuracy in noisy industrial environments. The linearity is ±0.5 LSB, maximum accuracy is ±0.01% FSR, and temperature drift is controlled at 40 ppm/°C maximum. The front panel is equipped with LED indicators for power status and bus activity, helping maintenance technicians quickly check power faults, bus communication failures and configuration errors during commissioning and routine inspection. The PCB adopts industrial-grade electronic components and reliable EMC protection design, capable of resisting vibration, dust and temperature fluctuation in power stations, chemical plants, aerospace test benches and automated test equipment. This legacy high-performance analog input module is mainly supplied as spare replacement parts for existing XYCOM VME automation systems. Users need to confirm VME chassis compatibility, bus address allocation and sensor wiring definition before installation. A conformal coated version is optional for high humidity, dusty and corrosive industrial sites. This model is widely used in dynamic signal testing, batch automated testing, power system transient monitoring and old VME high-speed acquisition system retrofit projects.

This high-performance analog input module adopts standard 6U single-width VME rack mount structure. It draws power from the VME backplane, +5V @ 2.1A. LED indicators display power status and bus activity for convenient on-site inspection. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 65°C, storage temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C, relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing. It complies with industrial shock, vibration and EMC standards and has CE certifications. It supports scan sequence, gain and interrupt configuration backup for fast recovery after hardware replacement.

This XYCOM XVME-566 analog input module is widely applied in legacy VME control racks and industrial automation upgrade projects. It provides high-speed buffered analog signal acquisition and 12-bit conversion for the VME master control system. As a reliable discontinued spare part, the XYCOM XVME-566 retains original VME bus timing and analog signal compatibility, and effectively reduces the renovation cost of legacy industrial control system maintenance.
