Product Details
The XYCOM XVME-564, PN 74564-001, is a discontinued 6U VMEbus high-resolution analog input module, designed for XYCOM legacy VME control racks and precision industrial measurement systems. Compared with the 12-bit XVME-560, this model upgrades to 16-bit A/D conversion, which delivers superior accuracy for low-level sensor signals. It supports flexible channel configuration: 64 single-ended, 32 differential or 64 pseudo-differential analog input channels, well suited for strain gauges, load cells, RTDs, thermistors, tachometer generators and analytical sensors. The module provides multiple selectable voltage ranges including 0-5V, 0-10V, ±5V and ±10V. Each channel has independent software programmable gain, and gain options include 1,2,4,5,8,10,20,40,50,100 for adapting weak and strong input signals.
It supports five operation modes: random channel sampling, sequential channel scanning, single-channel continuous sampling, external trigger sampling and auto-scanning. Auto-scanning can be configured across 8,16,32 or 64 channels. The maximum throughput reaches 100 kHz under single-channel mode, 62.5 kHz for auto-scanning mode, and 38.5 kHz for other modes. The accuracy is 0.003% FSR in single-channel mode and 0.006% FSR in other modes. It is compatible with 3B series signal conditioning accessories to expand measurement types for current and temperature signals. This module can also be set by jumper to backward compatible with XVME-560 under 12-bit mode for easy system upgrade.
It follows IEEE 1014 VMEbus specification and works as a VME slave device. Users can configure base address, interrupt vector and scan parameters via on-board DIP switches and jumpers to avoid address and interrupt conflicts with other VME modules installed in the same chassis. The on-board low-pass filter and transient suppression circuits reduce electromagnetic noise from inverters, servo drives and contactors, maintaining stable and precise sampling results in noisy industrial environments. The module supports hardware interrupt after conversion completion to reduce host CPU load. The front panel is equipped with LED indicators for power status and bus activity, helping maintenance technicians quickly check power supply status, bus communication faults and configuration errors during commissioning and routine inspection. The PCB adopts industrial-grade electronic components and reliable EMC protection design, capable of resisting vibration, dust and temperature fluctuation in test benches, aerospace test systems, chemical plants and power stations. This legacy high-resolution analog input module is mainly supplied as spare replacement parts for existing XYCOM VME automation systems. Users need to confirm VME chassis compatibility, bus address allocation and sensor wiring definition before installation. A conformal coated version is optional for high humidity, dusty and corrosive industrial sites. This model is widely used in strain testing, dynamic precision signal monitoring, material testing equipment and old VME high-precision acquisition system retrofit projects.
This high resolution analog input module adopts standard 6U VME rack mount structure. It draws power from the VME backplane. LED indicators display power status and bus activity for convenient on-site inspection. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 65°C, storage temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C, relative humidity 20% to 80% non-condensing. It complies with industrial shock, vibration and EMC standards and has CE certifications. It supports scan sequence, gain and interrupt configuration backup for fast recovery after hardware replacement.
This XYCOM XVME-564 analog input module is widely applied in legacy VME control racks and industrial automation upgrade projects. It provides high-density 16-bit high-precision analog signal acquisition for the VME master control system. As a reliable discontinued spare part, the XYCOM XVME-564 retains original VME bus timing and analog signal compatibility, and effectively reduces the renovation cost of legacy industrial control system maintenance.
