Product Details
The XYCOM XVME-540, PN 74540-001, is a discontinued 6U VMEbus combined analog input and output module, designed for XYCOM legacy VME control racks and integrated industrial process control systems. This all-in-one analog io card integrates both analog acquisition and analog output functions in a single board, which saves valuable slot space in VME chassis and simplifies system wiring for closed-loop control applications. It supports 32 single-ended analog input channels or 16 differential input channels with 12-bit A/D conversion resolution, and users can select unipolar or bipolar input ranges with programmable gain settings to match different sensor signals. Four independent analog output channels are equipped on the same module, and each output channel can be jumper-selected for voltage or current mode, supporting common ranges including 0-10V, ±10V and 4-20mA current loop for driving field actuators.
The module provides four configurable sampling modes for analog input scanning, and it supports hardware interrupt generation once the A/D scan sequence completes, so the VME master CPU can fetch fresh measurement data without continuous polling. It is fully compatible with the 3B series signal conditioning modules, allowing users to connect thermocouples, RTDs and other specialized transducers by adding external conditioning accessories. This combined daq board works as a standard VME slave device under IEEE 1014 VMEbus specification. Users can configure base address, interrupt vector and channel gain parameters via on-board DIP switches and jumpers to avoid address and interrupt conflicts with other VME modules installed in the same chassis. On-board low-pass filtering and transient suppression circuits reduce electromagnetic noise from inverters, servo drives and contactors, maintaining stable measurement and control signals in harsh factory environments. The module supports output status readback for convenient fault diagnosis and signal verification during commissioning and routine maintenance.
The front panel is fitted with LED indicators for power status and bus activity, helping maintenance technicians quickly identify power failure, bus communication errors and configuration faults. The PCB adopts industrial-grade electronic components and reliable EMC protection design, capable of resisting vibration, dust and temperature fluctuation in chemical plants, power stations, water treatment systems and automated test benches. This legacy combined analog io module is mainly supplied as spare replacement parts for existing XYCOM VME automation systems. Users need to confirm VME chassis compatibility, bus address allocation and sensor wiring definition before installation. A conformal coated version is optional for high humidity, dusty and corrosive industrial sites. This model is widely used in multi-variable closed-loop regulation, test signal simulation, process monitoring and old VME integrated analog control system retrofit projects.
This analog io module adopts standard 6U VME rack mount structure. It draws power from the VME backplane. LED indicators display power status and bus activity for convenient on-site inspection. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 65°C, storage temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C, relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing. It complies with industrial shock, vibration and EMC standards and has CE certifications. It supports base address, input gain and output range configuration backup for fast recovery after hardware replacement.
This XYCOM XVME-540 analog io module is widely applied in legacy VME control racks and industrial automation upgrade projects. It delivers integrated analog signal acquisition and analog control output for the VME master control system. As a reliable discontinued spare part, the XYCOM XVME-540 retains original VME bus timing and analog signal compatibility, and effectively reduces the renovation cost of legacy industrial control system maintenance.
