Product Details
The XYCOM XVME-531 is a discontinued double-high 6U VMEbus analog output module, designed for XYCOM legacy VME control racks and multi-channel industrial process control systems. It provides 16 independent analog output channels with 12-bit DAC resolution, offering higher channel density than the 8-channel XVME-530. Each channel can be individually configured via on-board jumpers to support different voltage and current ranges, including 0-10V, ±5V, ±10V and 4-20mA current loop. The XVME-531/2 variant provides 500V optical isolation per channel, separating the VME logic circuit from field wiring to suppress ground loop interference and voltage transients caused by inverters, servo drives and contactors. This module supports simultaneous multi-channel synchronous update, which keeps multiple analog signals aligned for coordinated actuator control. Every channel supports independent gain and offset calibration to minimize long-term drift and maintain conversion accuracy. It converts digital setpoint values sent by the VME master CPU into continuous analog signals to drive valve positioners, variable frequency drives, proportional actuators and other field control devices. This module operates as a standard VME slave device following IEEE 1014 VMEbus specification. Users can configure base address and channel operating mode through on-board DIP switches and jumpers to avoid address conflicts with other VME modules installed in the same chassis. Built-in low-pass filtering and surge suppression circuits stabilize output signals under strong electromagnetic interference in factory environments. The module supports output status readback for remote fault diagnosis and signal verification during commissioning and routine maintenance. The front panel is equipped with LED indicators for power status and bus activity, helping maintenance technicians quickly locate power failure, bus communication faults and configuration errors. The PCB adopts industrial-grade electronic components and reliable EMC protection design, capable of resisting vibration, dust and temperature fluctuation in chemical plants, power stations, water treatment systems and automated test benches. This legacy high-density analog output module is mainly supplied as spare replacement parts for existing XYCOM VME automation systems. Users need to confirm VME chassis compatibility, bus address allocation and load wiring definition before installation. A conformal coated version is optional for high humidity, dusty and corrosive industrial sites. This model is widely used in multi-loop process regulation, batch control systems, analog signal simulation and old VME analog control system retrofit projects.
This high density analog output module adopts standard 6U double-height VME rack mount structure. It draws power from the VME backplane. LED indicators display power status and bus activity for convenient on-site inspection. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 65°C, storage temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C, relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing. It complies with industrial shock, vibration and EMC standards and has CE certifications. It supports base address and channel range configuration backup for fast recovery after hardware replacement.
This XYCOM XVME-531 analog output module is widely applied in legacy VME control racks and industrial automation upgrade projects. It delivers high-density multi-range analog control signals for the VME master control system. As a reliable discontinued spare part, the XYCOM XVME-531 retains original VME bus timing and analog signal compatibility, and effectively reduces the renovation cost of legacy industrial control system maintenance.
