Product Details

The XYCOM XVME-240, PN 70240-001, is a discontinued 6U VMEbus TTL digital I/O module, designed for XYCOM legacy VME control racks and industrial discrete control systems. This high-density DIO module provides 80 TTL-level channels, including 64 bidirectional I/O lines organized into eight independent byte-wide ports, 8 dedicated interrupt input lines and 8 flag output lines. Each port can be individually programmed as input or output through software register setting, which brings flexible configuration for different signal control demands. The 8 interrupt input lines support edge-triggered detection, users can select rising edge or falling edge latch mode via on-board jumpers, and each interrupt channel can be masked separately, supporting VME interrupt levels from 1 to 7. It works as a VME slave device, occupying a 1K short I/O address space, and supports A16/D16 and A24/D16 data transfer cycles. This module acts as the signal interface between the VME master CPU and TTL sensors, proximity switches, indicator lamps, parallel peripherals and OPTO22 compatible devices, collecting discrete status signals and sending switching control commands for sequence logic and event monitoring. The onboard signal buffer and noise suppression circuits reduce electromagnetic interference from inverters and servo drives on the production floor, maintaining stable TTL signal transmission. Users can configure base address, interrupt level and interrupt trigger edge through DIP switches and jumpers to avoid address and interrupt conflicts with other VME modules installed in the same chassis. The front panel is equipped with PASS/FAIL status LED indicators, helping maintenance technicians quickly judge module running status, bus faults and configuration errors during commissioning and routine inspection. The PCB adopts industrial-grade electronic components and reliable EMC protection design, capable of resisting vibration, dust and temperature fluctuation in machining workshops, test benches and packaging automation sites. This legacy high-density TTL digital I/O module is mainly supplied as spare replacement parts for existing XYCOM VME automation systems. Users need to confirm VME chassis compatibility, bus address allocation and TTL signal load limits before installation. A conformal coated version is optional for high humidity, dusty industrial sites. This model is widely used in test equipment signal switching, packaging machine logic control, semiconductor auxiliary I/O and old VME discrete control system retrofit projects.

This ttl digital io module adopts standard 6U VME rack mount structure. It draws power from the VME backplane. LED indicators display power status, bus activity and module fault status for convenient on-site inspection. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 50°C, storage temperature ranges from -40°C to 85°C, relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing. It complies with industrial shock, vibration and EMC standards and has CE certifications. It supports port direction and interrupt configuration backup for fast recovery after hardware replacement.

This XYCOM XVME-240 TTL digital I/O module is widely applied in legacy VME control racks and industrial automation upgrade projects. It provides flexible high-density TTL discrete signal acquisition and output control for the VME master control system. As a reliable discontinued spare part, the XYCOM XVME-240 retains original VME bus timing and signal compatibility, and effectively reduces the renovation cost of legacy industrial control system maintenance.
