Product Details
The XYCOM 9485 is a discontinued rugged operator interface workstation from the XYCOM 9400 series, designed for on-site monitoring and control of legacy process automation systems. It integrates a built-in display and dedicated membrane function keypad, allowing operators to view real-time process data, adjust setpoints, acknowledge alarms and switch screen pages directly on the unit. The front panel is constructed to meet NEMA 4 and IP65 protection standards after standard panel mounting, resisting dust, water splashes and oil mist in typical factory and process environments. This model supports both AC wide voltage power supply and optional 24VDC power input, which offers flexible deployment options for different control cabinet power architectures. It adopts industrial PC architecture and supports classic operating systems including MS-DOS, Windows 95 and Windows NT, compatible with mainstream SCADA and HMI software, as well as common industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, DF1 and DH485. It reserves ISA and PCI expansion slots, enabling users to install serial communication cards, fieldbus interface cards and data acquisition cards to connect with legacy Allen‑Bradley PLCs, transmitters and variable frequency drives. The onboard interfaces include multiple RS232 serial ports, parallel port, PS/2, Ethernet and internal IDE storage, with optional floppy drive for local project backup and configuration download. The cabinet cutout dimension is compatible with other XYCOM 9400 series workstations, supporting direct drop-in replacement and reducing mechanical modification work during equipment maintenance. The built-in hardware watchdog timer can automatically reset the system to avoid program halt during long-time unattended operation. This legacy unit is mainly supplied as spare replacement parts for existing automation systems, and users need to back up the original system image and HMI project files before hardware replacement. A conformal coated version is optional for high humidity, dusty and mildly corrosive industrial sites. This model is widely used in chemical batch control, oil & gas skid operation, wastewater treatment, food and beverage manufacturing and old production line renovation projects.
This operator workstation adopts heavy-duty sealed metal front housing. It accepts 90-250VAC 50/60Hz or 20-25VDC power supply. LED indicators display power status, disk activity and serial communication status for convenient on-site inspection. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 50°C, storage temperature ranges from -40°C to 85°C, relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing. It complies with industrial shock, vibration and EMC standards and has obtained UL, CUL, TUV, CE and FCC certifications. It supports system image backup and offline configuration cloning for fast recovery after hardware replacement.
This XYCOM 9485 operator workstation is widely applied in process control skid operator stations, packaging machine local control interfaces, remote pumping station monitoring and legacy automation system upgrade projects. It combines display, dedicated keypad operation, industrial computing and flexible expansion capability into one integrated unit, meeting the multi-protocol communication demands of vintage control systems. As a reliable discontinued industrial workstation spare part, the XYCOM 9485 retains original field wiring and control programs, and effectively reduces the renovation cost of on-site HMI workstation replacement.
