The XYCOM 70674-098 XVME-674 is a discontinued 6U single-slot VMEbus PC/AT compatible processor module, built around Intel 80486DX or 80486DX2 processor with 33MHz or 66MHz clock speed, designed for legacy XYCOM VME racks and embedded DCS automation platforms. This board integrates configurable onboard DRAM up to 32MB, IDE controller for hard disk and floppy drive, VGA graphics controller, dual RS232 serial ports and one parallel printer port, which can work as a standalone industrial PC inside the VME chassis. It supports standard VME bus master operation, A16/A24/A32 address space and seven-level VME interrupt daisy chain, capable of communicating with all analog and digital slave I/O modules on the backplane to collect field signals and execute real-time control programs. It can run common DOS and early industrial embedded operating systems, suitable for original control software developed on PC/AT architecture. Users can set boot sequence, memory allocation and interrupt resources through on-board DIP switches and jumpers to avoid resource conflicts in multi-card rack configuration.
