The XYCOM 70601-005 XVME-601 is a discontinued 3U single-slot VMEbus master processor module, built around Motorola 68010 microprocessor running at 10MHz, designed for legacy XYCOM VME control racks and distributed DCS automation systems. It is equipped with 512KB local DRAM and EPROM sockets supporting up to 128KB firmware storage, which can store control program, system monitor and configuration parameters for standalone operation. This board integrates 68681 DUART chip to provide two independent RS232 serial communication ports for connecting HMI terminals, debug consoles and serial field devices, and also carries a 16-bit programmable timer for timing tasks and interrupt scheduling.
