The XYCOM 70240-001 XVME-240 is a discontinued 6U VMEbus TTL-level digital I/O module, designed for legacy XYCOM VME control racks and DCS systems. This high-density DIO board offers 80 TTL channels, including 64 bidirectional digital I/O arranged into 8 byte-wide ports, each port can be independently programmed as input or output through direction register configuration. It also comes with 8 dedicated interrupt input lines and 8 flag output lines. The interrupt inputs support edge latch selection by on-board jumpers and mask control via programmable interrupt mask register, which can trigger VME bus interrupts to notify the host CPU of field signal events in real time. It follows standard VME slave protocol and supports A16 address space, users can set base address and interrupt level through DIP switches to avoid resource conflicts on the shared backplane. The front panel is equipped with PASS/FAIL status LEDs and a 100-pin field connector for wiring to proximity switches, relays, indicator lamps and other TTL-compatible discrete devices. The board adopts industrial EMC filtering and noise suppression circuit, which can run stably under vibration and electromagnetic interference in factory environments.
