The XYCOM 4153C is a discontinued upgraded PC/AT compatible operator terminal, the successor version of the 4153B, built for legacy factory and process automation control rooms. It integrates a CRT display, membrane function keypad, industrial PC/AT motherboard and rugged power supply within a heavy-duty metal cabinet, serving as dedicated local operator station for older DCS and PLC control systems. This terminal supports DOS and early Windows operating systems, and can run HMI configuration software to display real-time process values, alarm logs, historical trend data, while accepting keypad input for setpoint adjustment, alarm reset and page switching. Compared with the 4153B, the 4153C optimizes serial communication circuits and improves anti-interference performance for long-distance field wiring. It is equipped with RS232, RS422 serial ports and parallel port, supporting multiple communication protocols to exchange data and control signals with XYCOM VME controllers, PLCs and host computers. The front panel is equipped with dedicated numeric keys, function shortcut keys and status LED indicators, which clearly show power status, communication link and system running status for convenient on-site inspection and fault diagnosis. The whole unit adopts reinforced metal chassis structure, which can resist vibration, shock and electromagnetic interference in industrial environments.
