The XYCOM 2000 is a classic vintage operator interface terminal from XYCOM 2000 series, designed for factory floor process monitoring and manual control in legacy automation systems. This unit runs DOS-based Softscreen HMI software, which was widely used for building graphical operation screens, alarm displays, parameter setpoints and simple trend views for old production lines. It adopts panel mount structure and is installed inside control cabinets or operator consoles, perfectly matching the original cutout size of the old on-site cabinet to reduce modification work during replacement. The terminal is equipped with serial communication ports, mainly supporting RS232 and RS485 communication, which can connect with various legacy PLCs, controllers, transmitters and weighing instruments. It supports standard serial communication parameters including adjustable baud rate, parity, data bits and stop bits, and can exchange data with Modbus, DF1 and other common serial protocols. The front panel has a sealed protective structure to resist dust and slight splash, adapting to general industrial workshop environments. It uses AC wide voltage power supply, supporting 90-250VAC input, which is stable for long-term continuous operation. The built-in system has simple data storage function, which can save recipe parameters and alarm records locally. The device has independent operation logic and will not interfere with the normal running of the connected PLC control program. It is a discontinued legacy HMI, mostly used for spare parts replacement of old equipment, and the original Softscreen project files are required for screen migration.
