Details

Product Details:

Woodward 5437-283 is an Analog Field Terminal Module, a dedicated FTM designed for the Woodward NetCon turbine control platform. It focuses exclusively on analog signal termination and conditioning, separating analog field wiring from the main controller backplane to simplify signal management for turbine governor systems.

This module is built to process standard 4-20mA analog signals collected from field transmitters, including pressure, temperature, flow and level sensors used in steam turbine and gas turbine control loops. It provides signal filtering and surge suppression to reduce noise interference generated by motors, actuators and high-power equipment in industrial workshops.

It is equipped with screw terminal blocks for field wiring and a D-sub connector for communication with the NetCon main control rack. All analog channels are independently protected, and technicians can carry out wiring continuity checks and signal calibration on the terminal side without disconnecting the core controller. This design lowers the risk of system trip and hardware damage during maintenance.

It supports configurable 24VDC loop power supply for two-wire transmitters. Each channel is fitted with built-in fuse protection, and on-board jumpers can be adjusted to match loop-powered or external-powered sensor wiring schemes according to site instrument requirements. It does not support discrete digital signal wiring, which distinguishes it from the mixed-signal 5437-282 FTM.

It integrates channel fault detection logic. It can identify open circuit, short circuit and abnormal signal range on analog loops, and upload fault alarm information to the NetCon controller. Operators can check alarm records on the HMI to quickly locate faulty sensors or damaged field cables.

It adopts standard rack mounting structure and is installed inside turbine control cabinets. It is widely used in power generation, petrochemical and gas compression projects. It is commonly selected for spare parts replacement, cabinet modification and NetCon control system upgrade. It is a professional analog signal termination solution for Woodward turbine control systems.

Key specifications:Woodward 5437-283 Analog Field Terminal Module,4-20mA analog signal channels,24VDC loop power with independent fuse protection,D-sub bus interface, rack mount. Operating temperature range: -20°C to +60°C. It supports 4-20mA signal source simulation test and channel calibration during maintenance.

This analog FTM cooperates with process transmitters and NetCon controllers to build stable analog measurement loops. The dedicated analog design optimizes signal quality for critical turbine process parameters.
