Woodward 5437-281 is a standard Field Terminal Module, commonly abbreviated as FTM. It acts as the signal wiring interface unit for Woodward turbine control systems, bridging field instrument wiring and internal controller backplane signals. It is widely matched with NetCon and other Woodward governor platforms for analog and discrete signal termination.

This module handles 4-20mA analog input signals from pressure, temperature and flow transmitters, as well as dry-contact discrete signals from safety interlock switches. It carries built-in signal conditioning circuits and 14-bit conversion components to guarantee stable signal transmission and reduce interference from industrial electromagnetic noise.

It is equipped with multiple 24VDC power connection terminals, and each power circuit is protected by independent small fuses.
