Woodward 5430-929 is an inductive magnetic pickup sensor equipped with a 2-pin plug connector, specially used for non-contact rotational speed measurement of steam turbines, gas turbines and generator prime movers. It generates sine wave pulse signals when the gear teeth pass the sensing head, and feeds real-time speed feedback to Woodward governor controllers for closed-loop speed regulation and overspeed protection monitoring.

The sensor adopts a threaded stainless steel body with matching locking nut, which is convenient for precise gap adjustment and stable installation on the unit gear housing. The internal magnetic core and coil assembly are encapsulated with high-strength epoxy material, with excellent vibration resistance and oil resistance, adapting to the high-temperature and oil-polluted environment near turbine rotating equipment.

The built-in 2-pin plug connector realizes fast plug-in connection with governor signal cables. The contact pins are gold-plated to reduce contact resistance and prevent signal interruption caused by long-term vibration and moisture erosion. It does not need external power supply and relies on electromagnetic induction principle to output speed pulse signals, which simplifies on-site signal loop layout.

It is compatible with Woodward 505, 505E, NetCon and MicroNet series governor control systems. The stable speed pulse signal it collects is the core feedback source for turbine speed control, load regulation and overspeed alarm logic.
