The BENTLY NEVADA 3500/20 rack interface module(RIM) is a full-height plug-in card for the Bently Nevada 3500 TSI machinery protection system. It must be installed in slot 1 of the rack next to the power supply module, and every 3500 rack needs one 3500/20 RIM as the main interface of the whole rack. It communicates with all monitor modules on the backplane bus, collects real-time measurement values, channel alarm status, module health signals and system event logs, and realizes rack configuration, data reading and alarm upload through Bently proprietary protocol. The module is equipped with RS232 front configuration port and rear RS422 communication port, supporting PC connection for offline/online rack parameter setup and multi-rack daisy chain connection. It can connect with external communication processors such as TDXnet, TDIX and DDIX to transmit machinery monitoring data to upper system. It is worth noting that the RIM does not belong to the safety monitoring path, and the failure of this module will not affect the vibration, temperature and relay protection functions of the rack. The TMR version of 3500/20 can continuously compare the measurement data of three redundant monitor cards, identify inconsistent channel data and record fault events, reducing false trip risk. Front panel LED indicators display module OK status and TX/RX communication activity for routine inspection. The module supports hot swapping during normal rack operation, hardware replacement will not interrupt the safety protection logic of the TSI system. Multiple certification options are available for ordinary control rooms and hazardous explosive environments. It complies with API 670 turbomachinery monitoring standard, widely applied in petrochemical, power generation and metallurgy industries, matched with steam turbines, gas turbines and centrifugal compressors, used for rack system configuration, data collection and multi-rack communication.
