The BENTLY NEVADA 3500/20-01-01-00 rack interface module(RIM) is a full-height plug-in card for Bently Nevada 3500 TSI machinery protection system. The suffix -01 stands for standard RIM type, -01 means with built-in modem, -00 indicates no special agency certification, suitable for ordinary non-hazardous industrial control rooms. This module must be installed in slot 1 of the rack next to the power supply module, and every 3500 rack needs one RIM as the main system interface. It collects real-time measurement values, channel alarm status, module health signals and system event logs from all monitor cards on the rack backplane. It is equipped with front RS232 port, rear RS422 serial port and built-in modem, supporting Bently proprietary protocol for rack configuration software connection and remote dial-up access. Engineers can complete rack offline configuration download, real-time data reading and alarm event query via this module. It can connect to TDXnet, TDIX and DDIX external communication processors to transmit monitoring data to plant upper control systems. It is important that the RIM is not part of the safety monitoring trip path, RIM failure will not affect the vibration, temperature and relay protection functions of the rack. Front panel LED indicators display module OK status and TX/RX communication activity clearly for routine inspection. The module supports hot swapping under normal rack operation, hardware replacement will not interrupt the safety protection logic of the whole TSI system. It complies with API 670 turbomachinery monitoring standard, widely applied in petrochemical, power generation and metallurgy industries, matched with steam turbines, gas turbines and centrifugal compressors, realizing rack system configuration, data collection and remote communication functions.
