TRICONEX MP6004 is a high-speed pulse input module developed for Triconex TMR safety instrumented systems (SIS). This TMR safety module receives pulse signals from field flow meters, speed sensors and rotary encoders, measuring pulse frequency and counting values, and converting the processed data into digital information and transmitting it to the safety controller for interlock logic judgment. The module adopts triple modular redundant 2-out-of-3 voting architecture, which can maintain normal pulse measurement when one internal redundant channel fails and eliminate single point failure risk. It supports high frequency pulse scanning, and each channel can independently configure pulse range and filter parameters to adapt to different field sensor types. Built-in continuous channel self-diagnosis functions can detect open circuit, short circuit and signal overrange faults, uploading fault alarm information to the safety controller in real time. The module supports hot swap operation, maintenance personnel can replace the faulty unit online without shutting down the whole safety system, minimizing system downtime. It cooperates with Tricon main chassis, pulse termination board and matched shielded cable assemblies. Widely applied in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical and power industries, this TRICONEX MP6004 pulse input module undertakes flow and rotating speed signal acquisition work for ESD emergency shutdown, fire and gas detection and burner management safety interlock systems.
