The QLEAMBBN is an EAM enhanced analog module of Moore QUADLOG safety DCS series under Siemens, designed for high-precision analog signal acquisition and regulating output in safety-related process loops. It runs on 24VDC power supply and supports 4-20mA analog signals from pressure, flow, temperature and level transmitters, as well as analog output signals for driving control valves. Compared with standard SAM analog modules, this EAM version has higher sampling accuracy and built-in safety-oriented diagnostic logic, suitable for safety instrumented system loops.

It is inserted into the dedicated QUADLOG rack slot and communicates with CCMx critical controllers through the safety backplane bus. Continuous channel self-diagnosis can detect open circuit, short circuit and signal over-range faults of field instrument loops, and upload fault information to the system HMI promptly. The suffix BBN defines its channel configuration, signal isolation specification and hardware revision. It cannot be directly replaced by ACMx EAM modules or ordinary analog cards, and it is only compatible with QUADLOG safety racks.

The PCB board is treated with conformal coating to resist dust, condensation and light corrosive vapors in refinery and chemical safety control rooms. The front panel LED indicators display bus communication status, individual channel working state and module fault alarms for convenient on-site inspection. Hot swap can be performed under specific rack operation modes, but safety risk assessment must be completed before online replacement.

Most stocked units are surplus modules recovered from decommissioned QUADLOG control racks and fully tested. Before installation, technicians need to confirm the suffix hardware configuration and complete precision calibration with a standard signal source to meet safety loop requirements.

Industry Applications: Applied in petrochemical safety loops, gas processing skids, boiler safety interlock systems and hazardous chemical facilities for high-reliability analog signal processing.
