The QLCCM22AAN is a CCM+ critical control processor of Moore QUADLOG safety DCS series under Siemens, equipped with 2MB onboard memory. It is dedicated to safety instrumented loops and critical process units, delivering stable and fast response performance for safety interlock and closed-loop control. It supports redundant pairing configuration to realize bumpless transfer between primary and backup controllers, preventing unexpected shutdown of hazardous process when the main controller fails. It is installed in the dedicated QUADLOG safety rack and communicates with QL series safety I/O modules through safety backplane bus. Built-in comprehensive diagnostics continuously monitor bus communication health, memory integrity and redundant synchronization status. Fault alerts will be sent to the system HMI promptly for operator troubleshooting. The suffix AAN defines its hardware version and fixed functional configuration, and it cannot be interchanged directly with QLCCM24AAN and QLCCM32AAN models with different memory capacity. It is only compatible with QUADLOG safety racks and cannot run inside standard ACMx racks. The industrial housing is designed for long-term stable operation in crowded control cabinets. The conformal coated PCB protects internal circuits from condensation, dust and light corrosive vapors that are common in refinery and chemical safety control rooms. Front panel LEDs clearly display running mode, synchronization status and fault codes for convenient on-site inspection. Hot swap can be performed under specific rack operation modes, but safety risk assessment must be completed before online replacement. Most stocked units are surplus modules recovered from decommissioned QUADLOG safety racks and fully tested. Before installation, technicians need to match the rack firmware version and complete offline redundant switchover test. Mismatched firmware will lead to redundant synchronization failure and loss of safety protection function.
