The QL1DM115ACBBN is an IDM critical discrete input module of Moore QUADLOG safety DCS series under Siemens, designed for safety-related digital signal acquisition. It accepts 115VAC on-off discrete signals from field limit switches, emergency stop buttons and pressure switches, converting AC contact signals into safe digital data for CCMx safety controllers. Compared with standard ACMx SDM discrete modules, this IDM version adopts safety-grade circuit design and enhanced fault diagnosis logic, suitable for safety instrumented system loops.

It is installed in dedicated QUADLOG safety rack slots and communicates with CCMx critical controllers through safety backplane bus. Built-in diagnosis can continuously detect open circuit, short circuit and abnormal voltage conditions of field switch loops, and upload fault information to the HMI promptly. The suffix 115ACBBN defines its 115VAC signal rating, channel configuration and hardware revision. It cannot be interchanged directly with 24VDC QLCDM variants, and it is only compatible with QUADLOG safety racks, not applicable for standard ACMx racks.

The internal PCB is coated with conformal coating to resist dust, condensation and light corrosive vapors in refinery and chemical safety control rooms. The front LED indicators display bus communication status, channel input state and module fault alarm for convenient on-site inspection. Hot swap can be performed under specific rack operation modes, but safety risk assessment must be fully completed before online replacement.

Most stocked units are surplus modules recovered from decommissioned QUADLOG safety racks and fully tested. Before installation, technicians need to confirm the 115VAC signal specification and verify channel assignment to meet safety interlock requirements.
