The 39SDM024DCCBN is an SDM+ standard discrete module originally designed by Moore and incorporated under Siemens APACS+ and QUADLOG DCS platforms, operating on a 24VDC power supply within the 19-30VDC working range. It integrates digital input and output channels for binary signal interaction with field equipment, collecting status feedback signals from limit switches and sensors while sending switching commands to solenoid valves, indicator lights and auxiliary relays. Each channel is equipped with isolation protection to filter surge interference from field circuits and prevent disturbance from spreading back into the control rack.

It is installed in standard ACMx rack slots and exchanges data with ACM or CCM host controllers via the high-speed backplane bus. The built-in diagnostic function can continuously detect open-circuit and short-circuit faults of field wiring, and transmit fault information to the HMI for rapid maintenance positioning. The suffix DCCBN defines its channel configuration, signal type and hardware revision, which distinguishes it from other SDM modules such as 39SDM024DCCAN. It cannot be directly replaced by analog I/O modules or other discrete modules with different suffix definitions.

The PCB board adopts conformal coating to resist dust, condensation and light corrosive vapors in refinery and chemical control rooms. The front LED indicators display bus communication state, individual channel status and module fault alarms for convenient on-site inspection. Hot swap is supported under specific rack operation modes, but technicians need to evaluate process risks before online replacement.

Most stocked units are surplus modules removed from decommissioned APACS+ racks and fully tested. Before installation, technicians need to confirm the suffix configuration and verify the 24VDC field load specification. Improper load matching may lead to channel burnout.
