The 39LIM2HCAN 16109-44 is an LIM link interface module of Moore APACS+ series under Siemens, serving as the dedicated communication bridge between the control rack and the M-Bus industrial network. It converts rack backplane bus protocol signals into M-Bus protocol data, realizing bidirectional transmission of real-time process values, alarm information and control parameters between ACMx racks and upper SCADA workstations.

This module is equipped with signal isolation and surge suppression circuits, which can filter abnormal interference on the M-Bus network and prevent grid surges from damaging the main controller. The suffix 16109-44 defines its baud rate, pin definition and hardware revision. It cannot be replaced directly by other LIM interface modules with different suffix codes, and it is only compatible with APACS+ M-Bus network and standard ACMx racks, not applicable for QUADLOG safety racks.

The PCB board adopts conformal coating to resist dust, condensation and light corrosive vapors in refinery and chemical control rooms. The front panel LED indicators display transmit status, receive status and fault alarm for convenient on-site inspection. It occupies one standard ACMx rack slot and relies on rack backplane for power supply. Hot swap can be performed under specific rack operation modes, but communication risk assessment must be completed before online replacement.

Most stocked units are surplus and fully tested modules recovered from decommissioned APACS control systems. Before installation, technicians need to confirm the network address and baud rate matching the M-Bus network. Incorrect communication parameters will lead to disconnection between rack and upper monitoring station.
