The 39AMCAN is a standard analog module from Moore ACMx series under Siemens APACS+ DCS platform, which is a general-purpose SAM analog I/O card for routine process signal processing. It supports 4-20mA analog input signals from pressure, flow, temperature and level transmitters, and analog output signals to drive regulating valves and positioners. Each channel adopts isolated protection design to filter electromagnetic interference generated by on-site high-power motors and frequency converters, preventing surge signals from affecting the stability of the whole control rack.

It fits into standard ACMx rack slots and exchanges data with ACM or CCM host controllers through the high-speed backplane bus. Built-in channel diagnostic functions can detect open circuit, short circuit and signal over-range faults of field instrument loops, and push fault alarm information to the HMI for rapid maintenance positioning. The suffix CAN defines its channel layout and hardware configuration, and it cannot be directly replaced by EAM enhanced analog modules or other analog cards with different suffix codes.

The internal PCB board is coated with conformal coating to resist dust, condensation and light corrosive vapors in refinery and chemical control rooms. The LED indicators on the front panel clearly display bus communication state, individual channel working condition and module fault alarms for convenient on-site inspection. Hot swap can be performed under specific rack operation modes, but technicians need to complete process risk assessment before online replacement.

Most stocked units are surplus modules recovered from decommissioned APACS+ control racks and fully tested. Before installation, technicians need to confirm the suffix configuration and complete channel calibration with a standard signal source to guarantee measurement accuracy.

Industry Applications: Applied in petrochemical auxiliary skids, gas metering systems, boiler control rooms and water treatment facilities for conventional analog signal collection and regulating output control.
