The 353A4FNNNENNNA is a Moore 353 series single-loop PID controller under Siemens, a 1/4 DIN panel-mounted standalone regulator for independent process closed-loop control. Different from basic configuration versions, the E letter inside the suffix stands for the optional communication hardware installed, supporting remote data transmission and parameter configuration besides local PID adjustment. It is equipped with front digital display and operating keypad, allowing field operators to change setpoints, switch auto/manual modes and check alarm status directly without an engineering workstation.

This unit supports auto-tuning PID algorithm, cascade and ratio control modes to satisfy diverse regulation requirements. It accepts common 4-20mA, thermocouple and RTD input signals, and users can set the signal range through the local menu. The full suffix NNNENNNA defines its communication option, alarm output type and other hardware settings, and it cannot be replaced directly by 353 controllers with different suffix codes. It runs on AC mains power supply and does not need rack or backplane bus to operate.

The internal circuit board adopts conformal coating to resist dust, condensation and light corrosive vapors in refinery and chemical control rooms. The front panel LED indicators display process value, alarm trigger state and communication activity for convenient on-site inspection.

Most stocked units are surplus and fully tested units removed from retired process skids. Before installation, technicians need to confirm the communication protocol and verify all alarm parameter settings. Wrong communication parameter configuration will lead to failure of remote data interaction.
