The 16437-301 is a marshalled termination module originally developed by Moore and integrated under Siemens APACS+ ACMx DCS system. It serves as the intermediate signal junction between ACMx I/O cards and field instrument cables, gathering multi-channel field wires into standard rack terminal points and sorting signals neatly for maintenance. It does not execute control logic or signal conversion, but it simplifies wiring layout and reduces the difficulty of troubleshooting instrument loops in crowded control cabinets.

It is matched with ACMx series I/O modules and installs in the same rack structure. Each terminal point is clearly marked for corresponding channel mapping, so technicians can quickly locate the wiring of pressure, flow, valve and switch signals. The module adopts built-in isolation protection to prevent crosstalk between adjacent signal channels. It cannot work independently, and it must be used together with matching ACMx input or output cards. The suffix 301 defines its terminal channel layout and hardware version.

The PCB board is coated with conformal coating to resist dust and condensation in chemical and refinery control rooms. Its terminal blocks are designed for stable wire crimping, and the overall structure is durable for long-term continuous operation. No communication bus chip is arranged on this board, and there are no status diagnostic LEDs for process signals.

Most stocked units are surplus and fully tested modules recovered from decommissioned APACS+ racks. Before installation, technicians need to confirm the channel mapping definition and match it with the paired I/O module. Wrong channel wiring will lead to signal mismatch of field instruments.
