The 16267-1-1 is an MNI M-NET ISA interface module originally developed by Moore under Siemens APACS+ DCS platform, the earliest hardware revision of the 16267 series, compared with 16267-1-2 and 16267-1/4 versions. It is designed to be installed in the ISA expansion slot of industrial control workstations, acting as the protocol bridge between the IPC host and APACS+ M-NET control network. It converts ISA parallel bus signals into dedicated M-NET protocol data, realizing bidirectional transmission of real-time process values, alarm messages and control parameters between HMI stations and ACMx control racks.

This communication card integrates optocoupler isolation and surge protection circuits, which can filter abnormal interference on the M-NET network and prevent grid surge signals from damaging the industrial computer motherboard. The suffix 1-1 defines its fixed baud rate, pin assignment and hardware revision, and it cannot be replaced directly by other 16267 variants with different suffix codes. It relies on the ISA bus of the compatible industrial computer for power supply and data interaction, and it cannot run independently without matched IPC host.

The PCB board adopts conformal coating to resist dust, condensation and light corrosive vapors in refinery and chemical central control rooms. The status LEDs on the card edge display transmit, receive activity and fault warning for convenient on-site inspection.

Most stocked units are surplus and fully tested cards recovered from decommissioned APACS SCADA workstations. Before installation, technicians need to configure ISA interrupt and memory resource of the IPC host, and match the communication parameters of the M-NET network. Incorrect address and baud rate settings will cause communication failure with control racks.

Industry Applications: Applied in petrochemical central monitoring rooms, gas metering SCADA systems, boiler management platforms and water treatment control centers for data interconnection between IPC workstation and APACS+ M-NET network.
