The 16201-1-7 is a bus continuation module of Moore ACMx series under Siemens APACS+ DCS platform. It is designed to extend the high-speed system backplane bus signal between multiple ACMx racks, realizing synchronous data communication and clock synchronization among distributed rack groups. It solves the signal attenuation and timing offset problems when the control system expands to multiple racks, ensuring consistent data transmission speed between the main controller and remote I/O racks.

It is installed in the ACMx rack slot and connects the system bus of adjacent racks through dedicated bus cables. It continuously reshapes and amplifies the bus signal, and monitors the bus transmission quality in real time. Once bus signal loss or synchronization deviation occurs, it will trigger the front fault indicator and send alarm information to the HMI. It cannot be used as a processor or I/O module, and it is only compatible with ACMx series racks, not suitable for QUADLOG CCMx racks. The suffix 1-7 defines its hardware revision and signal drive specification.

The PCB board is coated with conformal coating to resist condensation and light corrosive gas in chemical and refinery control rooms. The front LED indicators show bus receive status, transmit activity and module fault alarms for quick on-site inspection. It does not participate in control logic operation, and it only undertakes bus signal relay and reshaping tasks.

Most stocked units are surplus and fully tested modules recovered from decommissioned multi-rack APACS+ systems. Before installation, technicians need to confirm the bus cable type and rack quantity configuration, and complete synchronization testing after wiring. Improper cascading quantity will lead to bus communication instability.

Industry Applications: Applied in large petrochemical units, multi-section gas compression systems, distributed boiler control and long-distance water treatment monitoring systems for inter-rack bus signal extension.
