The 16133-79 is the SAM standard analog module of Moore ACMx series under Siemens APACS+ DCS system, an upgraded hardware revision compared with the 16133-71 version. It is designed for collecting and outputting standard 4-20mA analog signals from field transmitters and control valves, widely used for pressure, flow, temperature and liquid level measurement loops. Each channel adopts isolated design to suppress electromagnetic interference generated by variable frequency drives and high-power equipment on site, protecting the control rack from field surge signals.

It fits into the standard ACMx rack slot and exchanges data with ACM or CCM host controllers through the high-speed backplane bus. Built-in channel diagnostic function can detect open circuit, short circuit and signal over-range faults of instrument loops, and push fault alarm information to the system HMI for rapid troubleshooting. This 79 revision optimizes the signal sampling stability and channel isolation performance, and it cannot be directly replaced by other SAM analog modules with different revision codes. It is not interchangeable with EAM enhanced analog modules.

The PCB board is coated with conformal coating to resist dust, condensation and light corrosive vapors in refinery and chemical control rooms. The LED indicators on the front panel clearly display bus communication status, individual channel working condition and module fault alarms for convenient on-site inspection. Hot swap is supported under specific rack operation modes, but technicians need to complete process risk assessment before online replacement.

Most stocked units are surplus and fully tested modules recovered from decommissioned APACS+ control racks. Before installation, technicians need to confirm the exact sub-suffix version and complete channel calibration with a signal source to guarantee measurement precision.
