Details

Product Details:

The SEW 51A015-503 servo drive belongs to the MOVIDYN MAS51A series, compact axis module from SEW-EURODRIVE for servo motor speed and torque regulation. This unit is rated 15A output current, designed for 380–500V three-phase power supply, supporting closed-loop vector control for synchronous and asynchronous servo motors. It processes position setpoint signals from the upper controller and outputs precise current and voltage to drive the matched SEW servo motor. It supports encoder feedback connection, brake control signal output and safe stop function configuration. This axis module can work with matching MPB power supply modules to form a multi-axis servo system. Built-in monitoring functions detect overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overheat and encoder signal loss. If the module fails, the corresponding servo axis will stop and trigger drive fault alarm.

This drive adopts IP20 cabinet-mounted compact structure. It is equipped with digital and analog I/O terminals for signal interlock with peripheral equipment. It supports optional fieldbus board installation and serial communication for parameter setting and status reading. The rated working ambient temperature range is 0℃ to 55℃, and storage temperature ranges from -20℃ to 70℃. LED indicators and digital display on the front panel show running frequency, output current and fault codes for maintenance technicians to quickly locate abnormal conditions.

This SEW 51A015-503 servo axis module is widely used as maintenance replacement spare parts for packaging machines, machine tools, material conveyors and other automation equipment requiring stable multi-axis servo control. The original manufacturer has discontinued this model, and most units available on the global industrial spare parts market are fully tested refurbished units. Before installation, technicians need to inspect the power terminal, internal power module and circuit board for aging or damage. After installation, users need to download parameters, align encoder signals and complete motion test to confirm stable operation. Regular cleaning of cooling fan dust and inspection of loose connectors help extend the service life of the servo drive.
