The BENTLY NEVADA 3500/45-01 full-height 4-channel position monitor module belongs to Bently Nevada 3500 TSI machinery protection system. The suffix -01 represents internal termination I/O type,support Proximitor, RPT and DC LVDT sensors. This module can be installed in any free slot of the 3500 rack chassis. It receives signals from proximity probes, rotary position transducers and DC LVDT sensors, and provides -24Vdc transducer excitation for proximity probes. Four channels are configured in pairs via 3500 rack configuration software to measure axial thrust position, differential expansion, case expansion and valve position. Case expansion measurement function is available on channels 3 and 4. Engineers can set independent Alert and Danger alarm thresholds for each channel. When the measured value exceeds the preset threshold, the module sends alarm signals to rack relay modules to trigger machinery alarm or shutdown interlock. Each channel outputs independent 4-20mA analog recorder signal to DCS system. Front panel LED indicators display module OK status, bypass state and each channel alarm state for quick on-site inspection. Built-in self-diagnosis function can detect probe open circuit, short circuit and signal loss faults. It supports hot swapping during normal rack operation, maintenance staff can replace the module without shutting down the whole TSI system. It complies with API 670 turbomachinery monitoring standard, widely applied in petrochemical, power generation and metallurgy industries, matched with steam turbines, gas turbines and centrifugal compressors, used for shaft axial thrust and differential expansion protection monitoring.
