ABB PCS6000 GBU72 is the dedicated monitoring and control board for the Grid Breaker Unit inside the ABB PCS6000 medium voltage wind converter cabinet. It works together with the grid-side breaker and three-position earthing switch, collecting voltage, current and contact status signals to execute breaker closing, opening and earthing interlock logic. The board checks the safety condition before switching operation, prevents wrong sequence operation and provides protection for the medium voltage power circuit. It adopts industrial multi-layer PCB with full EMC shielding design, built-in surge suppression and signal isolation circuits to withstand high voltage interference inside the converter cabinet, ensuring stable status sampling and reliable interlock judgment during long-term wind farm operation.

It adopts standard cabinet backplane mounting structure and supports convenient removal and replacement during breaker fault troubleshooting and periodic maintenance. The GBU72 board communicates with the AC 800PEC main controller via internal rack bus, uploading breaker position, fault alarm and self-test data to the main control system. Interlock parameters and protection threshold can be set through PCS6000 engineering software to match different grid safety requirements. Built-in self-diagnosis function can detect signal loss, power abnormality and internal circuit failure, and trigger safe lockout state to avoid dangerous operation. Every spare board will pass signal sampling test, interlock logic test and rack compatibility verification before shipment to guarantee stable coordination with original PCS6000 converter hardware.
