Product Details:
ABB PCS6000 is a modular medium voltage full power converter adopting three-level IGCT technology, designed for large onshore and offshore wind turbines, supporting permanent magnet generators and induction generators. It features four-quadrant operation and fuseless design, achieving over 98% conversion efficiency and excellent harmonic suppression performance. The unit adopts closed-loop liquid cooling structure and IP54 cabinet protection, with integrated pre-charging, voltage limiting and cooling components, realizing high power density layout. It can be installed either inside the nacelle or at the tower base to reduce tower cable specification and lower nacelle load.
This converter supports active and reactive power regulation, low voltage ride-through, island operation and rotor positioning functions, fully complying with mainstream grid codes. It is equipped with AC 800PEC control platform, supporting Profinet, Modbus TCP and other industrial communication protocols for data interaction with turbine controllers and upper SCADA systems. Built-in remote diagnosis and condition monitoring functions help operators carry out predictive maintenance and reduce unplanned downtime. The modular layout can be arranged in inline, face-to-face or back-to-back forms to adapt to different space constraints. Every spare unit will pass power cycling test, grid simulation test and communication compatibility verification before shipment to guarantee stable matching with wind turbine generator systems. It is widely stocked as replacement power conversion equipment for large wind farm assets.
Industry Applications: Applied in petrochemical auxiliary skids, gas flow control systems, boiler closed-loop control rooms and water treatment facilities for conventional analog signal acquisition and valve regulating output.
