TRICONEX 8110 is the Tricon main chassis designed for Triconex Tricon triple modular redundancy (TMR) safety instrumented systems (SIS). This TMR safety rack serves as the core cabinet frame to install main processor modules, communication modules and I/O modules, supporting up to six slot sets of I/O modules inside the chassis. The Tricon main chassis adopts robust metal mechanical structure and backplane bus design, providing stable TriBus signal transmission for all installed modules. Redundant power supply slots are reserved inside the chassis, dual power modules can run in hot backup mode to avoid single power failure risk. The backplane realizes triplicated signal transmission to match TMR 2-out-of-3 voting mechanism, ensuring safety system reliability. It supports hot swap of all pluggable modules, maintenance staff can replace faulty modules online without shutting down the whole safety system. The chassis is equipped with grounding terminals and internal circuit shielding structure to reduce electromagnetic interference and ground loop noise in heavy industrial sites. Front panel LED indicators display power, system and fault status for fast on-site inspection and troubleshooting. It can cooperate with expansion chassis to expand system scale. Widely applied in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical and power industries, this TRICONEX 8110 main chassis builds the core hardware platform for ESD emergency shutdown, fire and gas detection and burner management safety interlock systems.
