TRICONEX 3503EN is a 32-channel optical isolated digital input module built with triple modular redundancy (TMR) architecture for Triconex Tricon safety instrumented systems (SIS). This TMR safety I/O module collects 24V discrete field signals from emergency stop buttons, pressure switches, limit switches and other safety field instruments, converting field status signals into digital data for the Tricon main controller. The Tricon 32-channel 24V digital input module supports 20–42.5V AC/DC input, DC or 47-63Hz AC signal, with channels grouped into 8 isolated groups. It adopts optical isolation design to separate field circuits and internal system circuits, effectively blocking surge voltage, ground loop noise and electromagnetic interference in heavy industrial sites. Each channel adopts triple redundant signal processing circuits and 2-out-of-3 voting logic to eliminate single point of failure and guarantee reliable signal acquisition. Continuous built-in channel diagnostics can detect open circuit, short circuit and hardware faults, and upload fault alarm messages to the Tricon engineering workstation in real time. The module supports hot swap operation, maintenance personnel can replace the faulty module online without shutting down the whole safety system. Front panel LED indicators display module PASS, FAULT and each channel signal state for fast on-site inspection and troubleshooting. It can be installed in standard Tricon rack and cooperates with Tricon processor and matching termination panels. Widely applied in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical and power industries, this TRICONEX 3503EN digital input module is used for ESD emergency shutdown, fire and gas monitoring and burner management safety interlock systems.
