The Schneider 140CPU11302 processor module is the core CPU unit of Modicon Quantum PLC system, built on 80186 processor with 20MHz clock frequency and designed for medium-scale industrial automation control applications. This modicon quantum cpu module comes with 109kB internal RAM, supporting LL984 logic program execution, the scan time for 1K boolean instructions ranges from 0.3ms to 1.4ms. It integrates two built-in communication ports, one RS232 Modbus serial port and one Modbus Plus port, which can realize data exchange with local I/O modules, operator panels and other field automation devices. The watchdog timer is set at 250ms to detect program abnormal operation and trigger safety protection action automatically. This CPU module supports direct plug-in installation on Quantum backplane rack and works with a full series of Quantum I/O, power supply and communication modules to build complete distributed control systems. It does not carry built-in floating-point coprocessor and is programmed by ProWORX 32 software platform. This original Schneider product was discontinued, widely stocked as spare replacement part for maintenance and upgrade of legacy industrial control systems in power, petrochemical, metallurgy, water treatment and manufacturing plants. It is widely used for stable logic control and data communication of medium-size Modicon Quantum PLC automation racks.
