The Schneider 140CPS42400C conformal coated redundant dc power supply module is a high-reliability power unit designed for Modicon Quantum PLC racks operating in harsh industrial environments. This modicon quantum power module accepts 48~60V DC input and converts it into stable 5.1V DC backplane power to supply CPU, communication and I/O modules installed on the rack backplane. The PCB circuit board is protected by Humiseal 1A33 conformal coating, which effectively shields internal electronic components from moisture, dust and corrosive gas, ensuring stable performance in chemical plants, offshore and other severe industrial sites. This power module supports parallel load-sharing redundant operation. When two identical modules work in parallel, they share the rack load evenly. If one power unit fails, the remaining module will automatically take over full load without interrupting PLC operation, maintaining continuous production process. It can deliver up to 8A output current under redundant configuration. A green PWR OK LED indicator and one NC 6A@220V fault relay contact are equipped on the front panel. The relay can send fault alarm signals to external control system, while the LED helps technicians quickly check module operating status and diagnose power faults on site. Built-in overvoltage, overload and short-circuit protection circuits cut off output automatically under abnormal electrical conditions to protect expensive Quantum PLC modules. It supports direct plug-in installation on Quantum backplane and hot swap for convenient maintenance. This original product has been discontinued, widely stocked as spare parts for maintenance and renovation of legacy industrial automation systems.
