The Schneider 140CPS12420 redundant ac power supply module is a high-performance power unit designed for Modicon Quantum PLC rack redundant automation systems. This modicon quantum power module accepts 93~276V AC universal input with frequency range of 47~63Hz and converts alternating current into stable 5.1V DC backplane power for CPU, communication and I/O modules installed on the rack. This power module can run in parallel redundant mode, delivering up to 11A output under standalone condition and 10A output when used in redundant parallel configuration. Multiple identical modules can be paralleled to share load, once one power supply fails, the remaining modules will automatically take over the full load without interrupting system operation. A green PWR OK LED indicator and a NC fault alarm relay contact are equipped on the module, helping technicians monitor power status and send fault alarm signals to control system. Built-in overvoltage, overload and short-circuit protection circuits can cut off output quickly under abnormal conditions to protect expensive Quantum PLC modules. It supports direct plug-in installation on Quantum backplane and hot swap for on-site maintenance. This original Schneider product was discontinued on Jan 15,2023 and end-of-service on Dec 31,2030, widely stocked as spare parts for maintenance and renovation of legacy industrial automation systems. It is widely used in power, petrochemical, metallurgy, water treatment and chemical projects to provide stable redundant power supply for critical Modicon Quantum control racks.
